Buildings that
answer to the
hillside.

Hotels, resorts and homes shaped by the terrain, climate and craft of the places they stand in.

The practice

Local wisdom, built with modern means.

We design architecture that complements the terrain, reading the climate, culture and geography of each region so a building sits well with its land and the people who use it.

Travel and the study of vernacular architecture shape the work. Traditional building knowledge is carried forward with contemporary materials, technology and construction methods.

What we design

Three kinds of work

Where we build

From 996 to 3,080 metres

Our projects sit at very different heights, and each one was designed for its site. Here they are lined up by the elevation of their town, from the Chamba valley to Lahaul, with the Rajasthan and Gujarat plains at the start.

Elevation profile of project towns, sorted from lowest to highest.
Sorted by height, not by map. Elevations are approximate figures for each town. Select a town to see its projects.
